About us

Life as a young woman can be tough. As they navigate growing up, bodies changing, the pressures of peers, adapting to new surroundings, limitless questions of self worth, and lack of confidence. There is no feeling in the world that can compare to understanding and believing in how important they are, every single dang day. The idea started when my own daughter struggled with these very ideas of not being “good enough”, "smart enough", "pretty enough". I began leaving her messages on the mirror every morning before school, and thought to myself, if she could see these things for herself, just if. Then it hit me, I could make that happen for her. MIRRORWEAR was born. I got her in on this idea, and she loved it. We brainstormed for awhile, and came up with the #iam idea. I asked her to think of things she wanted her hoodies to say, backwards, so when she looked in the mirror, she could read the exact same kind of messages I would leave for her, during her low times. We went to work. We wanted other young ladies, who share the same lows, to be built up again. So, we leave it to you, to decide what you would like to remind yourself or your loved one of, for those days when you or they are having a hard time with self empowerment.
